Lot #73 - the beautiful 101 x 151 mm postcard produced for the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin was canceled during the XI Olympiade in Berlin on 13 August 1936. By purchasing this card a contribution was made to the Austrian Olympic Fund. Their logo is on the bottom on the back of this Third Reich postcard, under a picture of the Olympic Village, "Home of the Austrian Olympic Team", Berlin 1 - 16 August 1936.
Very good condition and 100% original to the Third Reich period.

Nazi monument Feldherrnhalle
Lot #243 - left, this unused 89 x 140 mm Nazi postcard shows the monument on the Munich Feldherrnhalle that commemorated the men who died during failed Nazi Putsch of 9 November 1923. Note the SS guards and wreaths with swastika banners under the Nazi memorial.

Blank back, 100% original to the Third Reich period, in very good conditon.

Lot #146 - left, a striking 106 x 148 mm color Feldpostkarte that was mailed by a Kanonier of the 2. Batterie Flak-Ersatz-Abteilung 16 to his wife who lived in Vienna. Mailed from Greifswald (near Peenemünde) on 20 March 1942.

Lot #233 - right, a rare unused 104 x 147 mm postcard produced especially for the first annual philatelic collector show in Litzmannstadt in Reichsgau Wartheland held from 13 - 16 June 1942. The large Polish industrial city of Lodz was captured by Wehrmacht forces on 8 September 1939 and in April 1940 the name was changed to Litzmannstadt, after German General Karl Litzmann who captured the city during World War I. In September 1939, one-third of the population of the city was Jewish and the Litzmannstadt Ghetto became the second largest Jewish ghetto in Nazi Germany (Warsaw was the largest).

The front of this rare Nazi postcard shows the industrial aspect of Litzmannstadt which today is called Lodz again and is the second largest city in the country of Poland. Note the KdF logo and unusual swastika Wappen or coat of arms of Litzmannstadt on the front and on the cancelation stamp on the back. The purple 6 Pfennig Adolf Hitler stamp was pre-printed on the postcard.

Lot #28 - right, an unused 101 x 149 mm postcard created for the 10 April 1938 Volksabstimmung or referendum during which 97% of Austrians voted to become part of Adolf Hitler's Greater Germany. This historic postcard was canceled on 10 April 1938 in Braunau, the town where Adolf Hitler was born on 20 April 1889. Hitler's birth house is pictured on the card, which was mailed to Mr. Sabeff in Vienna.

Lot #230 - left, an unused 105 x 148 mm postcard created for the 1938 SA Reichswettkämpfe or SA State Sport Competition held in Berlin from 15 - 17 July. The stunning swastika graphic is by SA-Sturmhauptführer Axter Heudtlass who usually simply signs his work as "AxHeu". The postcard came with a pre-printed 6 Pfennig stamp on it and originally cost 15 Reichspfennig.
It was mailed from Berlin and has a special Berlin SA Reichswettkämpfe cancelation dated 15 July 1938. The back has simple handwritten greetings in Sütterlin Schrift. Very good condition. $14.00 delivered in the United States.

Lot #57 - right, the unused 105 x 148 mm postcard shows a Nazi guard at the famous landmark in central Berlin, the Brandenburger Tor (Brandenburg Gate) on the Pariser Platz side.

Lot #235 - left, this unused 91 x 143 mm photographic Nazi card shows the magnificent grandstand or Haupttribune at the Zeppelinwiese of Nazi Party Day Grounds in Nürnberg, designed by Professor Albert Speer. It was 378 meters (about 1240 feet) long. The center section was called the Führertribüne with 16.000 seats.

Very good condition with a blank back.
