HEINRICH HOFFMANN PHOTO CARD SET
Individual cards from this Third Reich postcard set showing Nazi Führer and Germany's 23rd Chancellor, Adolf Hitler, speaking and gesturing are occasionally offered for sale at rather high prices. This is the ENTIRE SET OF SIX candid photographic snapshots made by Heinrich Hoffmann during a speech by Hitler.
They are in perfect condition complete with their ultra rare sales folder bearing the addresses of Heinrich Hofmann sales offices in Germany, and the price of 1.20 Reichsmarks.
The back of each deckel edged 92 x 141 mm card is printed with the heinrich Hoffmann Munich address and the statement "Echte Fotografie".
Below each picture of Adolf Hitler in a dark suit speaking and gesticulating is Hitler's name and a quotation from one of his speeches.
It is difficult to assemble a set of all six of these Heinrich Hoffmann cards today and virtually impossible to find the original light green wrapper for the set. This set is in unbelievably fine original condition, hidden for years in the attic of a house of an old lady in Wien (Vienna), formerly the second largest city of Adolf Hitler's Greater Germany. $575.00 delivered worldwide.
Lot #437 - left, the painting of Adolf Hitler on this 105 x 148 mm authentic Nazi postcard was created by Bruno Jacobs of Berlin and used by Verlag Photo-Hoffmann in Munich to create their color postcard with the catalog nr. 445. This card was never mailed but has a March 1938 cancelation from Wien (Vienna), the historic days of the Anschluß or reunification of Austria with Hitler's Nazi Germany.

Lot #288 - right, a nice unused 105 x 148 mm printed postcard showing a view of the right side of the face of Der Führer Adolf Hitler, with a blank space below it. The photo was taken by Joh. Marr and the card from the series Männer der Zeit was produced by Graph. Kunst- und Verlagsanstalt Jos. E. Huber located in the Munich suburb of Diessen.
This Third Reich postcard was never mailed but has a red Polish stamp on the back as well as a green Hindenburg Deutsches Reich stamp. The purple cancelation says "Königshütte im befreiten Oberschlesien" (Königshütte in liberated Oberschlesien) and there is also a date stamped on the back: 21 September 1939.

Lot #54 - left, the unused 105 x 147 mm postcard features a painting of Adolf Hitler by artist Willy Exner.
This original Third Reich Ansichtskarte is number 2020 by Verlag Willy Exner of Wertheim and was printed by Schwarz & Co. of Frankfurt am Main in cooperation with the Press Reichsleiter of the NSDAP.

Lot #105 - right, an unused postcard measuring 105 x 148 mm produced by Verlag Hans Glogner. It shows Nazi Party Führer Adolf Hitler in 1939, at age 50, using the original artwork of professor von Kursell of Berlin. Red Deutsches Reich "Gold Smith" postage stamp on the back which was canceled on 31 December 1943 at the Messepalast in Wien (Vienna), Greater Germany's second largest city.

Lot #30 - left, an unused deckel edge photographic postcard produced by Photo-Hoffmann in Munich with the title "The Two Daughters of Dr. Goebbels". This original Third Reich postcard measures 91 x 141 mm and shows Adolf Hitler with Helga (L) and Hilde (R) Goebbels, the two oldest daughters of Joseph and Magda Goebbels.
These two girls and four of their siblings were poisoned by their mother in Hitler's bunker in Berlin on 1 May 1945.

Lot #51 - right, this unused deckel edge photographic postcard produced by Photo-Hoffmann in Munich measures 91 x 141 mm and shows Adolf Hitler wearing a business suit on the terrace of the Berghof with two girls from the Saarland.
The back of this original Third Reich postcard has a green Ein Volk • Ein Reich • Ein Führer • 10 April 1938 postage stamp which was canceled in Wien (Vienna) on 10 April 1938, the day that Austria officially became a part of Adolf Hitler's Greater Germany. The same stamp and cancelation can be seen on postcard # 85 below.

Lot #201 - the photo used to produce the 105 x 145 mm postard on the right was made by Heinrich Hoffmann. The original Nazi postcard is called "German Spring" and shows Adolf Hitler aceepting flowers from a young aryan woman with small girls watching.
The postcard was published by the VDA or Volksbund für das Deutschtum im Ausland in Berlin and has the VDA swastika logo on the back. It is unused and in excellent condition.

Lot #229 - left, an unused deckel edge photographic postcard produced by Verlag Photo Böhm in Berchtesgaden measuring 91 x 141 mm. It shows Adolf Hitler in civilian clothing greeting young German girls in front of his mountain home, the Berghof. Party visibile on the left edge of the photograph is a LSSAH bodyguard.

Lot #100 - there are many photos of Eva Braun at the Königssee near Berchtesgaden, but few of Adolf Hitler. This photo of Volkskanzler Adolf Hitler in a business suit was taken by Julius Hillebran on 21 May 1933. The postcard on the right measures 90 x 140 mm and was mailed from Königssee to a young lady in Berlin-Neukölln on 2 September 1934.

Lot #112 - right, an unused photographic postcard that shows Adolf Hitler at the grave of his parents, Alois and Klara Hitler, in Leonding on 13 March 1938. The grave is still there today, unchanged, in the churchyard across the street from the house where Hitler spent many years of his childhood.
The 105 x 147 mm postcard was produced by Verlag Heinrich Hoffmann in Munich. While this card was never mailed, it shows wear.

Lot #93 - the photographic deckel edge Third Reich postcard shown right was produced by Eduard Doppler in Braunau am Inn and measures 89 x 139 mm. It shows the house in which Adolf Hitler was born in Braunau in 1889, and Hitler himself. It was written and mailed to a family in Vienna on 13 October 1938.

Lot #96 - the photographic Third Reich postcard shown left was produced by Photo-Hoffmann in Munich and measures 91 x 139 mm. It shows FührerAdolf Hitler in a business suit with a small boy in Lederhosen.
This postcard was once enclosed with a package that a Wehrmacht soldier sent to his wife in January of 1943. The message on the back of the card starts out with the soldier remembering their second wedding anniversary and the grey dress his bride wore on 1 February 1941.
The handwritten message also includes wishes for a speedy end to "this terrible war".

Lot # 104 - right, this deckel edge photographic postcard produced by Photo-Hoffmann in Munich measures 104 x 145 mm shows Adolf Hitler during a speech. On 22 November 1943 this card was mailed by Feldpost by a Wehrmacht soldier stationed in Brussels, Belgium to an Unteroffizier stationed elsewhere. The message contains birthday wishes.
