This is a wonderful, historical book called Aufbruch (Political Awakening), published in 1943 by the SS publishing house, Nibelungen Verlag for the Reichsführer-SS • SS-Hauptamt with a one sentence foreword by Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, “For too long we have forgotten that we are of Germanic Stock”.

The 5-3/4 x 8 inch, 88 page hard cover book contains excerpts from letters written by Waffen-SS Germanic volunteers from Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Norway and Finland describing their tough battles and their conviction that Germanic Europeans must defeat the Bolshevics who threatened to destroy western civilization. The last eight pages are tablets to fallen SS volunteers like the one shown at the right.

Extremely interesting and historic material. Nice condition with taped spine, very difficult to find.
