1938 Westwall worker commemorative booklet
Generalinspektor für das Deutsche Straßenwesen, Fritz Todt
3. Reich Erinnerungsbuch an den Bau des Westwalles
In 1938 Hugo Müller participated in the effort to “reunify Austria with Nazi Germany, the liberation of the Sudeten Germans, and the securing of German borders” and for his work he was awarded this nicely made bound commemorative book with an embossed eagle and swastika on the cover. This fancy booklet with Müller’s name on the certificate on page 1 was issued to Müller by der Generalinspektor für das Deutsche Straßenwesen of Department Wiesbaden. That was the office of Dr. Fritz Todt, builder of the Westwall, the Reichsautobahn and many other important projects.
