This heavily illustrated hardcover photo book Das Jahr VII by Dr. E.R. Uderstadt was published in 1940 and looks back on the seventh year of National Socialist power in Germany - achievements by and facts about the NSDAP in the year 1939. The 7-1/8 x 9-¾ inch, 192 page hardcover book has 70 carefully selected photographs that illustrate those achievements. It was published by Verlag für Sozialpolitik, Wirtschaft und Statistik Paul Schmidt of Berlin, and it was the last volume printed in the Das Jahr series.

Photos include Hitler's visit to Prague on 15 and 16 March, military build-up in the Memelland, the battleship Tirpitz, celebrations for Hitler's 50th birthday, the huge Wehrmacht parade during the visit of Prinzregent Paul of Yugoslavia in Berlin in June, the return of the Legion Condor to Berlin, Day of German Art in Munich, Hitler speaking to the Reichstag, the invasion of Poland in September 1939, the German Red Cross during the invasion of Poland, Hitler in Danzig for the victory parade, NSV homes for Aryan mothers and their children, the fortification of the West, Luftwaffe planes attacking British targets, Nazi submarines, and new Nazi medals such as the Danziger Staatsorden, Panzertruppen-Abzeichen, Wound badge, the 1939 Iron Cross, the War Merit badge, U-Boot Kriegsabzeichen, Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen and the Panzerwagen-Abzeichen.

This original 76 year old Third Reich book recapping the seventh year of National Socialist power in Germany is complete and in good used condition. The stain on the front cover is visible on our cover photo above.  It appears to be glue or photo album page residue.
