This book Die Piraten des Weltkrieges (The Pirates of the World War) dates to 1941 and was published by Deutsche Verlags-Anstalt of Berlin and Stuttgart. Author Werner Friedrich writes about the horrible ways the British waged war at sea during the First World War. Their sanctimonious words about humanity in reality meant breaking treaties and neutrality, robbery, cruelty, and murder. The way the British waged war against wild and uncultivated populations in previous centuries went right on during World War I, according to the author.

The Deutsche Informationsstelle or German Office of Information in Berlin was a Nazi propaganda institute specializing in translations of propaganda into various European languages. They published a series of extremely anti-British books in the same size and binding in 1940 called England ohne Maske (“England Unmasked” or “England without a Mask”).

This book is in good used condition and has a 30 mm round green rubber stamp from the Press and Propaganda Department of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront Gau Franken on the front flyleaf, complete with the cogged wheel DAF swastika in the middle.
