The 13 March 1941 issue of Berliner Illustrierte Zeitung shows Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring with his young daughter Edda on his lap. The photo was taken by Rosemarie Claussen at the Reichsjägermeister's hunting estate in Rominten. Inside the 30-page magazine there are additional rare photos of Goering family vacation at the (seldom photographed) Reichsjägerhof Rominten.
Other news and photos in this 70 year old Nazi magazine are the new Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Oshima at the Berghof with Hitler and Von Ribbentrop, President Roosevelt on his way to the US Capitol, Ritterkreuzträger Franz von Werra and his escapades in Canada as a POW, the war in Libya and Greece, British naval casualties in the Atlantic, etc.
There are short stories, carttons and wonderful period advertising for cigarettes, 4711 Cologne, soldier song books, Velveta, Agfa, ladies underwear, razor blades from Solingen, and many other products.
