This book of very rare and historic 11 x 14 inch Third Reich photo magazines also contain many maps (several in color) and some pages of interesting illustrated advertising.  It is fully indexed.

The covers of all the 1940 issues of Böhmen und Mähren were removed prior to binding, as was always the case in German binderies. All nine issues appear to be complete. We found no pieces cut out and did not detect any missing pages when we photographed these 78 year old magazines. Good used condition, and very rare!
It would be difficult, if not impossible, to overstate the historical value of this complete year of Böhmen und Mähren magazines to any library of printed material related to Reinhard Heydrich, National Socialism, or mid-20th century European history. The original Third Reich magazines offered here were printed in German by the SS in Prague in very limited quantities specifically for circulation within the Protekrorat Böhmen und Mähren and to a select list of high-ranking Nazi Party official outside Bohemia and Moravia. Few examples of the magazine survived the post-war Allied destruction of Nazi literature or the desperate years following World War II when anything combustible was used as fuel for heat and cooking. Fewer yet survived as complete examples assembled by the year of publication. Most people today are unaware that the magazine ever existed in print.

The magazine sets by year offered here on USMBOOKS.com are the only complete sets we have ever owned or offered for sale, and very likely the only sets that we will ever offer for sale. This is a rare opportunity to purchase this 75+ year old material on the open market and that opportunity will not last long.
