ORIGINAL 1945 WEHRPASS ISSUED TO A SIXTEEN YEAR OLD BOY |
This is a rare very late-war 56-page Nazi Wehrpaß or Permanent Military Service Record Book issued to 16 year old Hatwig Woortmann on 9 March 1945 less than two months before the Germans surrendered!
The round Nazi eagle and swastika rubber stamp on page 1 shows it was issued by Wehramt Aurich, in the city of Aurich in Ostfriesland (East Frisia) in northern Germany. It was hand-signed by an Oberstleutnant who was the head of the Wehramt Aurich. Woortmann’s Wehrnummer was 29/324/1/1.

Page 3 is completely filled out with Woortmann’s personal information and shows that both his parents were alive. His occupation is listed as typesetter. Page 4 shows he finished school through 8th grade.
While it says on page 5 that Woortmann was Dienstpflichtiger or obligated to perform military service, a decision was made by the Oberstleutnant who was the head of Wehramt Aurich to give him a temporary delay to serve until 31 December 1945. Page 6 shows his labor service was also postponed. Pages 7 thru 56 have no entries.
This very late-war Wehrpass is 100% original to the Third Reich period, no entries have been messed with and it has never even been shown at a militaria show. Very good condition, no odor.

Page 2 of this 4-1/8 x 5-3/4 inch Wehrpaß has the original photo of young blue eyed Hatwig Woortmann who was 1.64 m. tall (5’4"), slender and had dark blond hair. The 40 x 52 mm ID photo is correctly overstamped over the upper left and lower right corners.
