This is a rare 9-3/4 x 11-1/4 inch, 56 page very heavily illustrated soft cover book with the words Soziales Deutschland embossed in gold on the leather-like tan front cover. Each of the big color and black & white pages covers some aspect of the social improvements that occurred in Germany in the three years of Nazi rule from 1933 to 1936. Those social improvements were Adolf Hitler's pride and joy and the Nazi promise of a future for the brave, hard-working, enterprising German people.
Those benefits included the Ordensburg castles and Adolf Hitler Schools that had begun to educate the very best of German youth, the opportunity to rebuild the German Armed Forces, spectacular building programs like the House of German Art, the Olympic Stadium, the New Reichschancellery, the Volkswagen and the Reichsautobahn, Kraft durch Freude holidays for ordinary workers, symphonic music, theater and world-class art in the work place, the National Socialist Musterbetrieb program that honored model industries, programs for the Hitler Youth, childcare and mother homes, new housing developments, sports programs of all kinds, unheard-of healthcare, etc.
The social program described in this book were essentially the free benefits that ordinary Germans and their children received from the government.
There is light foxing on the tan leather-like cover but the content of the book is in bright, clean, very good used condition, with no foxing or discernible odor.
