This is a very informative 1938 Nazi primer for students and professionals covering the most important National Socialist history, people and themes. In the foreword of Kleine Nationalkunde für Schule und Beruf, author Werner May explains that since the recent historical changes in Germany, Party and State have become one and that this book helps explain the fundamentals of the new Germany in easy to understand language.
The 5-1/8 x 7-¾ inch, 72-page book explains the origins of the Nazi Party, the 25 point program of the NSDAP, the structure of the Nazi Party, its leader Adolf Hitler, the anti-Jewish Nuremberg Race Laws of 15 September 1935, German citizenship, Nazi personalities (“The Men around Hitler” - Hess, Goering, Goebbels, Rosenberg, Lutze, von Schirach, etc.), the SA, SS and Hitler Youth, and the RAD and new labor policies in Nazi Germany.
There is a section with important historical dates, the paramilitary formations that make up the Nazi Party and a chapter about the history of the flag (the national swastika flag, the Blood Flag, etc.). The book also has a comprehensive index.
This is a 8th expanded edition of Kleine Nationalkunde, published by Heinrich Handels Verlag of Breslau in 1938. Previous editions were titled Politischer Katechismus. The back cover has advertising for other Heinrich Handsels publications. In nice used condition, with the name of a previous owner on the title page. No odor.
