Lot 187 - left is another Italian Fascist era postcard produced in the city of Como, but showing the Cemetery of the Capuchins beneath the church of Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini
in Rome. Today people often refer to it as the 'Bone Church of Rome'.
We acquired the 90 x 139 mm card with the Foro Mussolini cards listed above. Never mailed with a blank back, extactly as shown.

Lot 184 - shown right is a regular German postcard that was taken to Italy and canceled during Adolf Hitler's visit to Rome in May 1938.
This 104 x 137 mm Nazi postcard was never mailed, has no writing on the back but the miscellaneous stamps and event cancelations are obvious on the right. Condition as shown.

Lot 180 - a genuine Italian Mussolini era postcard of the stadium (Stadio dei Marmi, finished in 1932) at the Foro Mussolini sport complex in Rome. The unused postcard measures 90 x 139 mm has a picture of the Spanish Steps in downtown Rome on the back.
In very good condition, exactly as shown right and below.

Lot 185 - the Foro Mussolini is part of the Fascist-era sports complex in Rome built under the rule of Mussolini between 1928 and 1938 (it survived the war and is now called Foro Italico). Note Mussolini's name on the side of the obelisk.
This unused Italian postcard measures 105 x 150 mm and was never mailed. It has a blank back and is in very good condition.

Lot 186 - right is an Italian color postcard produced by the Boeri company in Rome. The front shows colonial engineer soldiers with camels in the desert (in Eritrea or Somalia?) and the back has a propaganda slogan above Mussolini's signature. A man named Hans sent the 104 x 150 mm postcard to a Fraulein inVienna on 17 May 1936 (the 14th year of Fascist rule in Italy - note the XIV in the cancelation) .
With original green Vittorio Emanuele III Poste Italiane postage stamp. In very nice condition, exactly as shown.
