This is SIGNAL EXTRA (H6) of 1945 called V2 Hoe Engeland haar ziet en ondervindt (V2 How England Sees It and Experiences It). The V-2 (for Vergeltungswaffe 2 or Retribution Weapon 2) was the world's first long-range guided ballistic missile, powered by a liquid-propellant rocket engine and was developed in Nazi Germany during World War II. Beginning in September 1944, over 3,000 V-2s were launched by the German Wehrmacht against Allied targets, first London and later Antwerp and Liège in Belgium, resulting in an estimated 9000 civilian casualties.

This heavily illustrated 9-½ x 13-¼ inch, 8-page special edition of SIGNAL is filled with technical information and statistics on the V-2 from German and British publications, maps, Churchill quotes and much more.

A previous owner fortunately laminated this 75 year old Dutch language SIGNAL Extra to preserve it, and unlike most SIGNAL publications, it is in excellent condition.
