This is a very nice example of the 10-1/2 x 14-1/2 inch, 48 page German language magazine Signal, Sonderausgabe der Berliner-Illustrierten Zeitung with several excellent features and many photos in color. The front cover features a photo of ladies KdF sports qualifications in the snow.
The full-color center-spread features nine remarkably good, remarkably well-printed photographs of the area around Adolf Hitler’s office in the New Reichschancellery in Berlin. The photo taken from behind Hitler’s desk chair is 12-1/2 x 16-1/4 inches making everything on the desk easily recognizable. The color photo of the SS guards posted outside the west entrance to the Reichskanzlei is the best version of that photograph we have ever seen.
There is a multi-page feature on Nazi submarines and torpedos, a color feature on being married under the Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof) in Innsbruck and a big feature on the life of General der Flieger Friedrich Christiansen. There are articles on Norwegian girls in Berlin, the battle for France and Scala girls from the Berliner Film Revue.
