A 1941 FULL-COLOR SCHOOL
BOOK EXPLAINING HOW THE
NAZI POSTAL SYSTEM
WORKED
This is a very interesting 5-7/8 x 8 inch, 64 page heavily illustrated full-color, soft cover book called Postmerkbuch für den Schulunterricht (An Explanation of the Postal System for Use in German Schools) as published by the Reichspostministerium or Nazi Postal Ministry in Berlin, Germany in 1941.
In very full-color clear photographs and illustrations this rare book shows how the Third Reich German Postal System worked, what could and could not be mailed, the various types of mail and postal services; Feldpost, air mail, payments by mail, telephones and telephone booths, telegraph services, radio, mailboxes, properly addressed mail, insurance, registered mail, vandalism to postal property, postal savings bank, etc. The last 4 pages are miniature versions of school room wall charts that depict the processes of and the services offered by the Nazi Postal Service.
Best of all, this 1941 Postmerkbuch für den Schulunterricht book was written for young people to learn about the German Postal System so it is easy to read and understand 70+ years later. Very good condition.
