Kriegsmarine sailors
The Third Reich cap tallies on this USMBOOKS web page are absolutely original, beautifully woven cap tallies or ribbons of the sort worn on the "Donald Duck" style caps of sailors in the Kriegsmarine and crew members of ocean liners and KdF cruise ships. The military tallys usually had only the name of a school or ship woven in gold thread on the black ribbon. Those for commercial sailors on ocean liners usually had the ship's name in the center and the flags of the company or the country on the sides.
