This is an absolutely original Nazi period Number 567 PERTRIX brand Taschenlampe or pocket flashlight made to be sold to members of the Nazi Party's many paramilitary organizations such as the SS, SA, Hitler Youth, NSKK, etc.
The brown painted, all-metal flashlight has a brown leather strap riveted to the case with a D-ring on the end for a lanyard or karabiner. The entire lens portion of the flashlight rotates for focusing the beam. There is an on-off switch on the body of the light and a screw cap on the back end which can be removed for inserting batteries.
By depressing the button on the tube that controls the focussing of the beam and twisting the lens, the entire lens assembly can be removed so that the bulb can be changed.

All aspects of this flashlight work as intended and the only wear to it is confined to the paint on the body tube where some of the the green primer shows through near the on-off button. Has original bulb but no battery. Nice used condition.
