This USMBOOKS web page contains different lots of the heavily illustrated news magazine Münchner Illustrierte Presse (Munich Illustrated Press) published by Verlag Knorr & Hirth in Munich. The newspaper was in business from 1925 - 1944. In 1933 Reichsführer-SS Himmler appointed two NSDAP overseers to the Münchner Illustrierte Presse and in 1935 the Nazi Publishing House Franz Eher of Munich bought out Verlag Knorr & Hirth.

Each heavily illustrated 11 x 15 inch issue contained the latest news in photo articles, short stories, sports, crossword puzzles and cartoons as well as advertising from companies such as Agfa, Bols, Auto-Union, Osram, Hofbrauhaus, Zeiss, Nivea, Palmolive, Eberhard-Faber, etc.

LOT 3: consists of FIVE issues of Münchner Illustrierte Presse:
11 October 1934 (36 pages), 15 November 1934 (30 pages), 13 December 1934 (38 pages), 20 December 1934 (34 pages) and 27 December 1934 (28 pages).

These five original 87+ year old issues of Münchner Illustrierte Presse are complete and in nice used condition. No odor.

There are photos of Adolf Hitler, Hermann Goering with his pet lion, the new Gestapo chief and Higher SS and Police Leader in Nuremberg Dr. Benno Martin, the Putsch commemoration at the Feldherrnhalle in Munich, Dr. Joseph Goebbels, Rudolf Caracciola’s new record in his Auto-Union race car, New York lit up at Christmas time, Joachim von Ribbentrop, Hitler at the 85th birthday of Generalfeldmarschall von Mackensen, the Dog Club of the wives of Berlin diplomats, the first ice hockey game in the new Olympic Stadium at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and others.

There are photos of Adolf Hitler, the world’s smallest submarine, RFSS-Himmler greeting survivors of the famous submarine U9, hurricane damage in Japan, Paris vs. Moscow, Johnny Weismüller and his wife Lupy Velez, three US Navy planes above Miami, the unveiling of a new Dietrich Eckart memorial (shown above), Göring’s Carinhall on the Schorfheide, the renovation of Washington Memorial, Olympic facilities in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, etc.

These original 88 year old issues of Münchner Illustrierte Presse are complete and in nice used condition. No odor. The original owner wrote his name in pencil on the front cover of these three Nazi news magazines.
