Here is a splendid handle-less white and brick-red Luftwaffe cup - not the ordinary World War II German Air Force mess hall stuff in all white with a handle! This pattern is the much scarcer style used in the dining facilities of high-ranking officers, in private Luftwaffe Clubs such as the Horcher Restaurant in Berlin and in the dining rooms of Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring's Luftfahrtministerium in Berlin.
The 2-7/8 inch diameter by 3-1/2 inch high white mug is in excellent original condition - no chips or cracks. It has a narrow brick-red stripe around the outside near the rim and a 1-1/8 inch black eagle with a swastika in its talons on the bottom, above the date 1939. The cup is clearly marked in green on the bottom with the crown logo and name of its manufacturer, Heinrich H & Co. SELB BAVARIA GERMANY. The number 905 is pressed into the china material under the glazing.
This tea cup is absolutely guaranteed to be authentic Third Reich material at least 73 years old.
