AUTOGRAPH OF BLOOD FLAG
BEARER JAKOB GRIMMINGER

This is an excellent, unusual 4-1/8 x 5-7/8 inch Nazi Party Day postcard with a front side black & white image of Obersturmbannführer Jakob Grimminger, bearer of the Blutfahne or Blood Flag, most sacred of all Nazi relics.

The card was printed by Verlag Zerreiss & Co. of Nürnberg and was mailed on 9 September 1936 from the Reichs Party Day Grounds to a recipient in Bremen. The card bears a green 6 Pfennig Nazi stamp canceled at the Reichs Party Day.

The sender of the card got Blood Flag bearer Jakob Grimminger to sign it near the middle of the address side of the card before adding his own message. In text below his own signature, the sender also states that he got Grimminger to sign his card in his own hand - a rare experience for any visitor to Reichsparteitag 1936.
