Adolf Hitler's Yacht s.y. "Ostwind" material is **SOLD**.
|
This is a multi-piece lot of information, drawings, newspaper articles and two framable certificates from the Ostwind Museum in Jacksonville, Florida. One of the certificates has an actual piece of the mainsail fabric of the yacht Ostwind attached, while the other certificate attests to the authenticity of that fabric as having been taken from the Number One Mainsail of Adolf Hitler's Yacht s.y. "Ostwind".
Most of the essential material is shown at a size where it can be read in the accompanying photos.
This lot is a curio of the first order concerning one the most identifiable historical figures of the 20th century.
The owners of the yacht Ostwind, Horrace M. and Jody D. Glass recognized that because of the boat's provenance it was important historically. We are sure there is a nautical collector or museum somewhere that would like to own this material.
