Der Arbeitsdienst - Ein Bildberichtbuch (The Labor Service - A Photo Report) is an original hardcover Nazi book measuring 7-1/8 x 9-¾ inches. The book was compiled by Arbeitsführer Herbert Erb, has 120 pages, dozens of excellent full-page photos, and a foreword by Reichsarbeitsführer (RAD Leader) Konstantin Hierl and was published in 1935 by Freiheitsverlag GmbH or Berlin.

This book is crucial to any understanding of Third Reich Germany specifically because of how important compulsory labor service was to the Nazi indoctrination of the participants, and how important the work of the RAD was to the German Nation.

The book is complete and in nice used condition. There is a stain at the top of the cover (clearly visible on the photo above) and every page of the book, but it does not interfere with either photos or text.

The book starts with excerpts from speeches by Adolf Hitler and Konstantin Hierl at the 1934 Nazi Party Days in Nürnberg and contains an overview of the Reichsarbeitsdienst, what is expected of its members, etc. The second half of the book contains large, full-page photos of Reichsarbeitsführer Konstantin Hierl, Hierl and Hitler at the 1935 Reichsparteitag, Hierl with Reichsminister Frick, Hierl visiting RAD barracks, Hierl meeting RAD men,men of the RAD marching and hard at work, RAD men eating and exercising, thousands of RAD men marching through Nuremberg during the 1934 Reichsparteitag, the RAD tent camp at the 1935 Reichsparteitag, men from the RAD School in Potsdam marching in downtown Berlin, etc. The book ends with a double-page spread of Reichsarbeitsdienst insignia and rank badges.
