A VERY INTERESTING 3-PIECE DOSSIER SEEKING
TRAVEL PAPERS FOR A FEMALE EMPLOYEE OF CARL WALTHER WAFFENFABRIK IN ZELLA-MEHLIS |
||||||||||||||||
The three documents in this grouping all relate to a request by Carl Walther Waffenfabrik in Zella-Mehlis, Germany for travel visas for Frau Helena Gajdosch of Chemnitz to make a weapon sales promotion trip to Belgrade in Serbia on behalf of the firm. | ||||||||||||||||
Walther wrote to Mrs. Gajdoschs husband in May 1941, the German Economics Office in Belgrad wrote to the Reichsstatthalter in Wien (Vienna) on 12 June, and the Reichsstatthalter wrote to the German Armed Forces Passport and Visa Office Südost in Wien (Vienna) on 27 June 1941. We do not have Helena Gajdoschs passport to prove it, but we are certain she got her visa. This is unique and interesting Third Reich travel material for a woman connected with Nazi Germanys premier automatic pistol manufacturer. |

There is a beautiful engraving of a Walther PPK pistol at the top of the colorful Walther stationary, and a Nazi Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF or German Labor Front) in the lower left corner over the words NATIONALSOZIALISTISCHER MUSTERBETRIEB (NSDAP Model Factory). In very good condition, from the collection of authors Ray & Josephine Cowdery. Comes with a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. |
