This is a wonderful Third Reich grouping connected to the premier of the 1941 UFA moving picture ,,U-BOOTE WESTWÄRTS!’’ (Submarines West!). The grouping consists of three very historical Nazi items. They are:

1) The 8-3/4 x 11-1/2 inch, eight page, very heavily illustrated Film Kurier promotional review of the movie. This booklet (shown above) includes full cast and credits as well as many photo stills from the movie.

2) A very rare VIP invitation to the premier showing of the movie from Infantry General Streccius, the Deputy Commanding General in Wehrkreis XVII. The 4 x 5-3/4 inch invitation card is made out in the name of Dr. P. Heigl and is not transferable.

The movie premiered in Wien (Vienna), Germany (now Austria) on 27 May 1941 in the Busch-Lichtspielen (movie theater).

3) The 8-1/4 x 10-3/4 inch (folds to 5-3/8 x 8-1/4 inch) program for the festivities that took place during the premier of the movie ,,U-BOOTE WESTWÄRTS!’’

In conjunction with the movie, UFA (the producer of the film) brought in a Musikkorps of the Kriegsmarine to perform the “Fanfarenmarsch”, “Die Lieder der Nation” and “Engelandlied”.

A spectacular 60+ year old grouping of Nazi U-Boot and classic movie material, all three pieces in very good condition.
