THE LIBERATION OF THE SUDETEN GERMANS
This is an absolutely original 8 mm Tobis Degeto-Kulturfilm motion picture film Nr. 1/6 ,,Heim ins Reich’’, new in its original Third Reich box containing an 8-1/4 x 11-1/2 inch printed sheet describing the contents of the film. It says that the film shows the liberation of the Sudeten Germans in the border areas of Czechoslovakia, and their rightful return to their home inside Hitler’s Third Reich. Their battle was over and their protection by Germany was assured. The sheet suggests that the record ,,Egerländer Marsch’’ (Borderland March) be played while the film is viewed.

We don’t know the running time of the film but the gray-green pressed paper reel is 3 inches in diameter and is about 90% full of film. The leader identifies the film as the same one mentioned on both the outside of the box and the printed sheet. The film appears to be brand new and does not look like it was ever run. The back of the box is marked Degeto Heim ins Reich 1/6. The box also contains an original retail price and a label from Karlsbad Optik-Foto Knuffner & Niederauer of Karlsbad, Germany, now Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. The original retail price of this reel was 10 Reichsmarks or approximately $4.00 during the Third Reich.

The inner edge of the red sleeve box has been crushed, but the inner box and reel are in excellent condition.
