This is an excellent original FIRST EDITION example of the very rare 9-1/4 x 10 inch, 84 page Third Reich German softcover book ZWEI JAHRE ARBEIT AN DEN STRASSEN ADOLF HITLERS or "Two Years Of Work On The Highways Of Adolf Hitler" published when the first stretch of the newly finished Nazi freeway was opened. The rare book was produced by the Chief Autobahn Engineer Dr. Ing. Fritz Todt and the Nazi Propaganda Minister Dr. Joseph Goebbels by Volk und Reich Verlag of Berlin, Germany in 1935.

This very heavily illustrated book records the start of the Nazi German freeway system, from concept to reality in the second year of its construction - 1935.  There are many maps of the very well-planned Reichsautobahn system with starting dates for construction, the number of workers needed, estimated costs and completion dates. Approximately 125 large full- and half-page photos record every aspect of construction from worker's housing to bridges, on- and off ramps, as well as pictures of Hitler visiting construction sites with Dr. Todt, artist renderings of freeway bridges as well as detailed architectural drawings and models.

Photographs show the construction of enormous freeway river bridges, laborers working in snow and mud, the construction of the famous Mangfallbrücke, Hitler at the exhibition Die Strasse in Munich, archeological finds during construction, the location of the 108 worker barracks all over Nazi Germany, etc.

This Fist Edition 1935 Nazi freeway book Zwei Jahre Arbeit an den Strassen Adolf Hitlers is complete and in very good used condition.
