PANZERFAUST ILLUSTRATED NAZI VICTORY BOOK |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
A RARE SPECIAL EDITION OF THE
HEAVILY ILLUSTRATED MAGAZINE DIE PANZERFAUST FOR A WEHRMACHT PANZER ARMY IN RUSSIA 1942 |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This is a good example of the very rare 9-3/4 x 12-3/4 inch, 96 page, special edition of the Nazi armored force magazine Die Panzerfaust (literally, The Armored Fist) devoted entirely to recounting the enormous victories of Panzergruppe III (Hh) of Army Group Center during Operation Barbarossa.
These German armored units obliterated all Russian resistance as they pounded east across the Duna, through Minsk, Witebsk and Smolensk to the very suburbs of Moscow in the summer and fall of 1941. Panzergruppe III was responsible for the killing and capturing of hundreds of thousands of Red Army soldiers and the destruction of almost uncountable quantities of Soviet tanks, arms, guns, equipment and facilities from late June through November 1941. |

This thick magazine published by Panzer Propagandakompanie 697 in 1942 shows and describes in detail the working of the Panzer units of Army Group Center across Russia in the most concise and factual terms. Large clear photographs show their tanks, tank destroyers, armored recon units and men in action all across the northern part of the Soviet Union. In addition there are photos of the men butchering animals for food, at rest during a pause in the action, tending their wounded, captured Soviet men and materiel, the difficulties encountered on the battlefield, etc., etc.
Except for the obvious damage to the right edge of the front cover, this rare magazine is in very good condition.
