On 21 March 1933 the Garnisonkirche was the site where Chancellor Hitler officially started the new session of German Parliament in the presence of President von Hindenburg, Prince August Wilhelm, and many other German dignitaries.

This is a complete set of 20 original German souvenir photographic pictures of “the most beautiful views of Potsdam and Sanssouci”. Located about 20 miles southwest of Berlin, Potsdam was the summer residence of the Prussian kings and the German Kaiser until 1918.  Today it is the largest World Heritage Site in the country of Germany and Sanssouci Palace, once the summer home of Frederick the Great, is the center of it. Potsdam was in the Soviet Zone of Occupation after World War II and the centuries of German royal splendor deteriorated enormously. Many of the art treasures taken at the end of World War II still reside in Russia today.

This high-quality early 1930s German souvenir photo set was produced by Verlag Wilhelm Hannemann of Potsdam and is undated. All twenty souvenir photos are crisp and clear, and in very good condition. The original 3 x 3-7/8 inch bright red folder shows normal wear which is visible in the photo at the top of this USMBOOKS web page.

Each photo measures 2-¾ x 3-1/2 inches and has a caption (on the front and back) explaining the subject:
