This is a very nice example of the 4-1/8 x 5-7/8 inch, 56 page, very, very heavily illustrated soft cover book ,,Taschenbuch Russisches Heer’’ (Pocket Book - the Russian Army) as published in January 1941 by O Qu IV Fremde Heere Ost (Office of Enemy Army East) at the Oberkommando des Heeres (OKH) in Berlin, Germany.
Soviet tanks
On the cover it specifically states that the book is published only for use in the Armed Forces and specifically for the use of German troops in the field.
Russian rifles
Without any form of introduction, the book simply begins by showing the weapons, uniforms and insignia of the Soviet Armed Forces.

There are three full-page, full-color plates of various soldiers in full uniform and three full-page, full-color plates of the collar and arm insignia for coats and uniform jackets of Soviet soldiers from the Marshall down to the Rotarmist (Private). There are pictures and descriptions of tanks, armored cars, halftracks, field artillery, long guns, mortars, hand grenades, machine guns, pistols, sub machine guns, rifles and sniper scopes as used by Soviet soldiers.

Other than a 1 inch long tear in the front cover, this rare book is in excellent condition.
