This is the actual rubber portion of a Nazi office stamp that was removed from the original wooden handle on which it was used by a known American Counter Intelligence Officer who took over the Lucherberg office in the early days of 1945, before the war ended. He kept the stamp we are selling among the pins and badges he also brought home as souvenirs. Oddly enough, the rubber is quite soft and supple and we had no problem pressing it on to a rubber stamp ink pad and stamping it on paper. It could easily be remounted on a wooden handle.
