This is a very nice, used example of the Fritz Reipert publication Was will Frankreich? Kriegsgründe und was dahinter steht (What does France Want? Rational for War and What Is Behind It). During the Third Reich Reipert wrote several very anti-British, anti-Jewish, and anti-French propaganda books and this one about France is a follow-up to his very popular Das ist England! Weltherrschaft durch Blut und Gold (That is England! World Domination through Blood and Gold).

Was will Frankreich? Kriegsgründe und was dahinter steht is a rare 80+ year old Nazi book which seldom comes up for sale in this nice used condition. This example is complete, without any odor or writing.

Was will Frankreich? has chapters about aggressive wars started by France during the last 1000 years, the Treaty of Versailles, the ‘friendship’ between France and England, the systematic anti-German lies being fed to the French people by their deceitful politicians who want war, proof of Germany’s peaceful policies, etc. The 6 x 8-½ inch, 64-page softcover book has striking propaganda illustrations by Hans Speidel who also designed the French flag cover art depicting a black French colonial Poilu with a rifle and bayonet guarding a cemetery.

Published by Verlag H.W. Rodiger of Berlin, this Nazi book is undated, but the last page has reference to the speedy Nazi victory in France of June 1940, and that as a result no propaganda can break the trust that the people of Germany have in Adolf Hitler.
