This is a very nice original example of Vorschriften für den Strassenverkehr or Regulation Manual for Traffic Police, effective from 1 January 1938 as published by Otto Drewitz Buchdruckerei in Berlin for distribution to German police near the end of 1937.

Traffic police, like all other police in Nazi Germany, were a unit of the Nazi Ministry of the Interior under Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler and this book also bears the imprimature of the Generalinspektor für das deutsche Strassenwesen, Dr. Fritz Todt.
Any matter related to traffic police from adjusting head lamps to license plate types and sizes, license plate identity abbreviations, to road signs is covered in detail in this excellent book.
There are also actual examples of the sorts of documents and paperwork handled on a daily basis by traffic police. Those include things like all types of driving licenses, accident forms, military columns, etc., etc.
