This is a great example of a standard two-piece die-struck aluminum Nazi belt buckle for a policeman in unissued condition. There is no maker identification on the buckle. It is 65 mm (about 2-1/2 inches) long. The face of the buckle bears the police motto Gott mit Uns (God with Us). The double claw on the back that holds the buckle to a belt has conically pointed ends.
It is in very good condition with only shelf wear on the high spots as shown in our excellent photos. This Third Reich police belt buckle is without question the real thing. It has never even been owned by a collector or dealer before. Until we bought it had spent its entire post-war life in the hands of the GI that brought it home.
