This is a rare and historic Special Election Edition of the weekly newspaper Volkskampf published by the NSDAP in the city of Kiel, dated November 1932.

The headline covers the speech by Nazi official and politician Gregor Strasser at the Exhibition Hall in Kiel. Strasser was an early Nazi Party member and took part in the November 1923 Beerhall Putsch in Munich. After his release from prison in 1925, Gregor Strasser became the leader of the NSDAP in northern Germany and was responsible for increasing the party's membership and reputation in that part of the country. He was appointed Reichsorganisationsleiter (the predecessor of Dr. Robert Ley) but was killed during the Night of the Long Knives in 1934 after personal conflicts with Adolf Hitler.

According to this newspaper, more than 20,000 people stood in line for 2-½ hours to hear SA Leader and Reichsorganisationsleiter Strasser at 8:30 pm, and uniformed SS and SA members had a hard time clearing the way so Strasser could make it to the podium to deliver his speech.

Gregor Strasser’s election speech in Kiel about freedom, work and bread was pro-Nazi and very much against the Von Papen government. He covered the influence of Jews on the economy and stock market, and spelled out what a Hitler government would do for the people, for the economy and the standard of living in Germany. Not voting means support for Von Papen! For work and bread, vote for Liste 1 [Nazi Party].

This 12-5/8 x 18 inch, 4-page Special Election Edition of the Offizielles Organ der NSDAP Kreis Kiel was published by Nordmarkverlag in Kiel and was distributed free of charge. It is complete and in very good used condition, and folded though the center. It is very rare, we have never seen another example of Volkskampf!
