This is quite a beautiful grey and pink Marmor Schreibtischgarnitur or marble desk set that consists of two matching pieces. The larger piece is a 7-1/2 x 6-5/8 inch heavy marble rectangle on brass legs with a 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 inch multi-color marble ink well attached, called Stiftablage mit Tintenfass mit Einsatzgläs in German.
On top of the ink well is a 1-7/8 inch brass or bronze medallion in deep relief displaying a Thüringen DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE standard with an eagle and swastika on the top and the dates 1926 1936 on the sides. Around the edge of the medallion it says 10 JÄHRIGE WIEDERKEHR DES REICHSPARTEITAGES WEIMAR (10 Year Commemoration of the Reichs Party Day in Weimar in 1926).
On top of the ink well is a 1-7/8 inch brass or bronze medallion in deep relief displaying a Thüringen DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHE standard with an eagle and swastika on the top and the dates 1926 1936 on the sides. Around the edge of the medallion it says 10 JÄHRIGE WIEDERKEHR DES REICHSPARTEITAGES WEIMAR (10 Year Commemoration of the Reichs Party Day in Weimar in 1926).
The brass or bronze medallion and the brass hinge on the back of the ink well show an almost identical patina. Inside, the original ink reservoir is still present in its two original pieces.
The second piece of this desk set is a heavy 3 x 5-1/2 inch piece of grey and pink marble with brass inverted Us on top for holding letters and envelopes, called Papierhalter mit Metallbügeln or Briefhalter mit Chrombügel in German.

Both pieces utilize small but nicely formed brass feet to hold the marble off the desk. We bought this set in Germany many years ago and it has never been offered for sale in the United States before.
