This is a wonderful Third Reich color map called Das Großdeutsche Reich und seine Nachbargebiete (The Greater German Reich and its Neighboring Areas) printed in late 1938 or early 1939 by Kartografische Anstalt von F. A. Brockhaus of Leipzig.

Unfolded, the map measures 24 x 26 inches and shows Hitler’s Greater Germany which at the time included Austria and the Sudetenland (but not yet Poland), in a scale of 1:1875,000 (25 mm = 50 km). The map has cities, villages, railroads, the Reichsautobahn (finished portions of the freeway network and stretches under construction) and other important highways, Germany’s borders and borders of Prussian provinces, forests, mountains, etc. Major cities outside Germany have the German name as well as the name in the language of the country it is in (Krakau/Krakow, Warschau/Warszawa, Prag/Praha, etc.)

Complete with its original Third Reich card stock cover that measures 4-5/8 x 8-1/4, this example of Das Großdeutsche Reich und seine Nachbargebiete is in very good, little-used condition. No taped folds, no odor.
