Hotel Bayerischer Hof Munich brochure and price list 1935
This is an original 6-panel Third Reich hotel brochure in German and English for the “praiseworthy, contemporary establishment in a central, quiet, south-facing location on wonderful Ritter von Epp Square," the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in downtown Munich.

The upscale hotel is still in business today, but the name of the square was changed back to Promenadeplatz on 6 June 1945, of course (it had been renamed by the Nazis on 26 April 1933).
RLM, Reichsluftfahrtministerium, Nazi Air Ministry
NSDAP Braunes Haus, Feldherrnhalle, Nazi Munich
3. Reich Reiseprospekt Hotel Bayerischer Hof
The duotone brochure is undated but clearly dates from some years into the Third Reich period as the map on the back panel calls out the NSDAP Braunes Haus and Feldherrnhalle among places of interest in Munich.

The pictures show the entrance, lobby, a bed room with bath (only 200 of the 400 rooms came with baths), and tea room. Not shown are the conference room, private office rooms, Lufthansa office, garage with gas station, hotel laundry and other modern facilities. The aerial picture of the Frauenkirche and the location of the hotel (above) was released by the RLM (Reichsluftfahrtministerium or Nazi Air Ministry) on 19 January 1934.

The 3-7/8 x 8-1/4 inch (folds out to 8-¼ x 11-½ inches) hotel brochure comes with an original price list insert for the 400-room hotel with prices in Reichsmarks. Prices for a suite with two beds started at 30 Reichsmarks ($12.00), and servant rooms were available for 3 Reichsmarks ($1.20) per night. Today prices in the same hotel for a Junior Suite start at $1,128.00!

This very rare 85+ year old Nazi era Munich hotel brochure is in very nice condition. It was carefully saved away from light.

The buyer will receive an in-depth printed statement covering the very interesting provenance of this 3. Reich Reiseprospekt or tourist brochure!
