This is a unique item that would be of special interest to any collector of German uniforms or fieldgear.

It is a patented collapsible German boot jack made and sold during the Third Reich period.

The item is made from several pieces of wood with a sliding steel collar, and in the “stowed” position it measures about 3 x 7-1/2 inches. When the wooden arms are extended and the collar is slid forward to lock them in place, it measures about 3-3/4 x 11 inches. It is in this position that it is used for the removal of the tall leather boots worn by Wehrmacht and SS Officers.

Kleinknecht is a trade name which means “Little Servant” and the initials below it stood for Deutsches Reich Gebrauch Muster and Deutsches Reich Patent anmelden (German Reich Patent Applied For) during the Third Reich of Adolf Hitler.
