This is the 10 August 1944 issue of the heavily illustrated Münchner Illustrierte Presse (Munich Illustrated Press) published by Verlag Knorr & Hirth in Munich. It contains a very interesting photo feature about the V1 rocket, showing and explaining the capabilities of die erste deutsche Vergeltungswaffe, the first German Retaliation Weapon.
Complete, carefully stored flat since the summer of 1944 and in very good used condition, no odor.
This 11 x 15 inch, 12-page Nazi news publication also has a photo feature by SS reporters about SS-Panzergrenadiers holding back Russian forces in the east and Wehrmacht medical personnel dealing with the wounded after the attack. There are photos from the Battle of Normandy with one of the captions explaining that the population of Normandy suffered greatly during the Allied invasion and that they are fed up already with their "liberators". Another photo feature shows the manufacture of Panther tanks.
There are two short stories, excepts from a diary of a Wehrmacht soldier under that title Im Namen des Führers (In the Name of the Führer), crossword puzzles, cartoons as well as advertising from companies such as Nestle, Deutsche Reichslotterie, Juventa, Faber-Castell, etc.
