For additional background information about the Motor Schau magazine, click HERE.
Motor Schau was a big, oversized 10 x 13-3/4 inch glossy, heavily illustrated trade and consumer magazine which concentrated on every aspect of the "motor business" not only in Germany, but around the world. Its emphasis was Germany and German equipment and every big issue was packed with features, news and advertising related to the motor trades. Unlike the other German motoring magazines, every issue of Motor Schau had a striking full-color industry related cover and usually plenty of color inside.
Published by Hitler's friend Jakob Werlin and Motorschau Verlag in Berlin, this big 10-1/8 x 14 inch, 44 page photo-packed issue contains articles on the war year 1941, Hitler's announcement (shown above left) naming SS-Standartenführer Jakob Werlin as the Generalinspektor für das Kraftfahrwesen, the Navy of Japan, the Ju52 in service of the German Red Cross, Arado airplanes (Ar-199, Ar-198, Ar-80, Ar-81), the new Bücker pilot training airplane "Bestmann", airplane engines, aircraft weapons - then and now, the adjustable Junkers propellor, and the latest automotive and aviation news.
There are black & white and color ads for FAMO, Focke-Wulf, Heinkel, Opel, NSU, Arado, Junkers, Fieseler, Henschel, Zündapp, Ford, Daimler-Benz, Henschel, Auto-Union, Continental, Dornier, Büssing-NAG, Cinzano, Bata, Deutsche Reichspost, Sekurit, and other Third Reich military and civilian vehicle, weapon, aircraft, bus and related manufacturing companies.
There is NO BETTER NAZI ERA PHOTO MAGAZINE on subjects related to aircraft, cars, trucks, motorcycles, busses, boats, halftracks and tanks than Motor Schau. Lots of superb black & white images. This 75 year old magazine is complete and in very good used condition. No odor.
