Adolf Hitler - ein Mann und sein Volk (Adolf Hitler - A Man and his Nation) was published by the Central Publishing House of the Nazi Party, Verlag Franz Eher Nachfolger in Munich in 1936. It was a large Sonderausgabe or Special Edition of the Illustrierter Beobachter (Illustrated Observer Newspaper) highlighting Germany's 23rd Chancellor and his accomplishments since taking office.

The oversized 96-page publication contained pictures from the earliest moments in the political life of Adolf Hitler (1914 - 1920) and the seldom seen personal side of his everyday life. It also had photos of Chancellor Hitler with many of his cabinet ministers and party leaders: Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, Rudolf Hess, Field Marshal Hermann Göring, Dr. Robert Ley, Dr. Fritz Todt, Baldur von Schirach, Dr. Joseph Goebbels, Dr. Hans Frank, Dr. Wilhelm Frick, Franz Ritter von Epp, and Reichsleiter Philipp Bouhler, as well as Hitler on the campaign trail, Ordensburg Vogelsang, Hitler surrounded by jubilant fans, etc.

For sale on this USMBOOKS web page is rare original advertising for Adolf Hitler - ein Mann und sein Volk with a small version of the actual cover on the front panel. The other two-sided panels explain the content and have a few small pictures found in the 1936 Special Edition, the majority taken by Hitler's personal photographer Heinrich Hoffmann. Contributors are listed, the names of some of the 220 pictures in the original publication as well as order information.

The fourth 4-1/8 x 5-3/4 inch panel of this rare 87 year old Nazi advertising piece is missing as that was the order form which was carefully cut off during the Third Reich. Very nice used condition, no odor and 100% original. Few of these survived!
