The well-written heartfelt birthday wishes are accompanied by support for Hitler’s mission, to protect the German nation from the dangers and attacks, and despite everything secure a future. Daughter Elsa Rasch goes on to say that she and her mother have been Hitler supporters for 20 years, and that they have always believed in a victory over the enemies within Germany, and have participated in that battle. They assured Hitler that they would continue to do so without hesitation, and signed off with Heil mein Führer!

While Hitler must have received millions of birthday letters while he was the leader of the Nazi Movement and Nazi Germany, this one, two weeks prior to the end of the Third Reich and his life, is very historic! We have no provenance on the letter but we have plenty of experience with ephemera of this sort and haven’t the slightest doubt about its authenticity!

We acquired this 5-¾ x 8-¼ inch letter recently in a book shipment from Germany. It has been stored flat since 1945, is in very nice condition and has no odor. Rare!
