This is a nice example of the 5 x 7-1/2 inch, heavily illustrated handbook for the Nazi Party Gautag in Hannover, Germany in 1938. The 80 page booklet sold for 50 Pfennigs (20 cents) and contained eight tickets to various events held in connection with the Gautag (the Sports Fest of the NSDAP, the Nazi Masonic Lodge Museum, etc., etc.).
Following an artistic drawing of Adolf Hitler and a memorial to the Fallen Comrades of Standarte Horst Wessel, this 1938 guidebook book provides a small tour and Nazi history of each of the main Kreise in Gau Sud-Hannover-Braunschweig. There is a pink section in the middle that covers all the events and participants in the four days of celebration. In the center of the pink section is a map of Hannover showing all the venues for the festivities.
Enclosed is a tram ticket from the person who originally owned the book. Lots of advertising for products from Singer sewing machines to insurance, cookies, cars, and newspapers.
