Die Nebeltruppe has background information about the fairly new German Army branch and its experiences during World War II so far. There are chapters about the organization, structure and equipment of the mortar troops, and what is required of the men serving in Wehrmacht Nebeltruppen.

This is a very good used example of the 5-3/4 x 8-inch, 32 page illustrated softcover Weapon Booklet of the Army called Die Nebeltruppe (The Smoke Troops) published by the Oberkommando des Heeres, probably in late 1942 or early 1943 (it is undated).

This practical promotional booklet for future Wehrmacht soldiers starts with a foreword by Oberbefehlhaber des Heeres, Generalfeldmarschall Walther von Brauschitch about the dream of every German boy to become a soldier and serve the Führer und Vaterland. This Waffenhefte des Heeres was published to show future soldiers how many possibilities there were in the Wehrmacht.

There are lots of photos of Nebeltruppe soldiers in action during combat, loading their Nebelwerfer, the effects of the use of Nebelwerfer, etc.

Career advancement possibilities for Nebeltruppe men are explained as well.

The color illustration on the front cover of this World War II OKH book shows Wehrmacht soldiers loading a Nebelwerfer and on the back cover (shown right) is another color illustration of the mortar, with a Standard for Die Nebeltruppe shown above it.

Published for the OKH by Deutscher Volksverlag of Munich and printed by NS-Gauverlag in Innsbruck, this Waffenhefte des Heeres is complete and in good used condition, no odor.
