This is a very good original set of BOTH volumes of the rare and large 9-1/4 x 11-5/8 inch very, very heavily illustrated hard cover books Bauten der Bewegung or Construction [Projects] of the [Nazi] Movement , Volumes I and II, as published for the book series of the Nazi Building Administration by the Prussian Finance Ministry and printed by Verlag Wilhelm Ernst & Sohn in Berlin.
IMPORTANT: these are the very rare EXPANDED 1942 EDITIONS of these rare books, and NOT the earlier editions which have far fewer pages and far less photos
If you could have only a single source on the architecture of monumental building projects carried out by the Nazis during the Third Reich, this would be the set of books to have. With only a small amount of text the large clear photographs of most of the best National Socialist architectural projects begin on page 7 of the first volume and continue to page 72. Photos is volume II begin on page 87 and continue to page 192 (there are a total of 364 pages in the two expanded 1942 volumes). Each photograph or drawing is identified with a copious caption which usually includes the name of the architect and his city of residence as well as the name and location of the project.
The monumental Nazi building projects included in these two rare 1942 books are the
Ordensburg Vogelsang by Klotz in the Eifel (with many interior and exterior pictures),
