The rare February 1943 issue of SIGNAAL is dedicated to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in the former Czechoslovakia. Articles highlight the output of the heavy war industry, the beauty of Prague and German Reichsprotector of Bohenia and Moravia Reinhard Heydrich’s replacement after Heydrich was assassinated in 1942. Photos show Reinhard Heydrich in his fencing outfit (the negative was printed backwards as the SS runes on his sleeve appear in reverse), Heydrich’s death mask, as well as a full-page, full-color porrtait of Nazi Police and SS Obergruppenführer Kurt Daluege. The magazine even contains a picture of SS-Obergruppenführer Karl Hermann Frank with his wife! |
