Individual cards from this very rare Third Reich postcard set are occasionally offered for sale at rather high prices. This is the ENTIRE SET OF FOUR Nazi Tag der deutschen Polizei (Day of German Police) WHW - SS - Police postcards for the year 1941.

They are in perfect condition complete with their ultra rare retail sales envelope bearing the eagle and swastika insignia of the German police superimposed on a pair of large SS runes abve the words DIE DEUTSCHE POLIZEI.

The back of each 101 x 140 mm full-color card is printed with a description of the picture on the front side between the emblem of a Nazi police and the runes of Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler's SS.

The original envelope is split along the left edge and across the bottom, but both the front and back panels are there.

This is an absolutely original set of Nazi era Ansichtskarten in their original envelope, and not any sort of copy or reproduction. This set of cards is rarely offered for sale complete with the original envelope at any price.

In the Bender book "Postcards of Hitler's Germany, Volume 3" the author shows only three of the four cards of this set on page 52 and does not tell how many cards there were in the set originally. He shows the 4th card separately on page 55 as a completely different listing. Nowhere does he mention the existence of the original envelope.
