36 RARE 5x7 INCH GLOSSY SS PHOTOS FROM A VETERAN'S ESTATE

The 36 glossy SS photos in this lot are remarkable, and we have never seen them published anywhere! We bought the prints from the estate of a United States Army Officer who served in Germany in the late 1960s and very early 1970s and we suspect that the prints were made stationed there while he was in the service.

These 128 x 178 mm black & white pictures are printed on Agfa paper and many of them have the abbreviation DCW written on the back side. One has a small tear and ‘wrinkle’.

The photos include famous Nazi characters like SS General Sepp Dietrich, Knight’s Cross recipient Lino Masarie, as well as an SS-Hauptsturmführer with a Totenkopf visor cap wearing a German Cross on his black Panzer uniform, an SS-Standartenführer with a clasp to the Iron Cross, LSSAH musicians, young decorated SS-Scharführer and SS-Oberscharführer from the SS Gebirgsjäger Regiment Reinhard Heydrich, a BMW motorcycle with SS license plate and a sidecar being washed in a river, a soldier wearing an SS helmet and camo tunic searching a Russian POW, men of the SS-Standarte 2 Germania and Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, an SS-Untersturmführer with a Reinhard Heydrich cuff title and an Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen on his tunic, SS graves in the field, a LAH tank crew, an SS war correspondent with his Leica camera (possibly Walter Frentz), SS sentries in Holland, a MG42 in action in the field, SS men wearing camo smocks, Dutch Waffen-SS volunteers and their Hou en Trou SS banner framed in the field, Flemish Waffen-SS volunteers in the field, and even Dutch Nazi Party leader Anton Mussert listening to the commander of the Dutch SS Volunteer Legion, Hendrik Seyffardt.
