We have acquired a substantial number of original Third Reich NSFK books recently. This is both Volume 1 and Volume 2 of Luftfahrtkunde, a heavily illustrated technical publication by the Nationalsozialistische Flieger Korps (NSFK or National Socialist Flying Corps). Both 5-¾ x 8-¼ inch softcover Hefte or volumes have the striking insignia of the NSFK on their Luftwaffe blue front covers and were published in 1943 by NSFK-Korpsführer Friedrich Christiansen (shown below wearing his Blue Max). |

Volume 1 has 96 pages and starts with a full-page Hoffmann portrait photo of Adolf Hitler, followed by portraits of Nazi Aviation Minister Reichsmarschall Hermann Goering and NSFK-Korpsführer Christiansen. All three are printed on high-quality glossy paper.

Karl-Joachim Greiser, the original owner and no doubt a member of the National Socialist Flying Corps, stamped his name on the title page of both of these 81 year old books. They have no odor.
The books are very heavily illustrated with excellent full-page color plates of the insignia of both the Luftwaffe and the NSFK, examples of aircraft design and construction, gliders, barrage balloons, zeppelins, cross-section views of airplane wings, cylinders, line drawings and pictures of Luftwaffe fighters and bombers used during World War II such as the Stuka Ju 87, Fi 156 Fieseler Storch, Fw 190, Me 109, the transport plane Ju 34, He 111, Ju 88, Hs 129 and others.
The books contain articles and information on the history of the aviation, the structure and organization of aviation in Germany, airplane production, aviation geography, navigation, map reading, aviation laws, as well as the goals of the NSFK, career possibilities in the NSFK and Luftwaffe, etc.
These NSFK Luftfahrtkunde books were published by Klasing & Co. GmbH in Berlin in 1943 and printed by the Carl Krüger in Mylai im Vogtland. They are complete and in very nice used condition. The blue covers of both books have age-fading along the edges and the spine but the pages are in excellent condition.
Volume 1 has 96 pages and Heft 2 has 80 pages and both have several unnumbered glossy pages with color images of NSFK and Luftwaffe badges and insignia. Volume 2 has a fold-out color map in the map reading chapter - it looks as if it was never unfolded!
This lot of two 1943 NSFK Luftfahrtkunde publications is
