Few people today are even aware that Hitler's personal security detachment, the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, had its own Musikkorps or orchestra which traveled Germany each season providing musical concerts in cooperation with the Kraft durch Freude (KdF or Strength through Joy) organization of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF or German Labor Front).

The rare original Third Reich LSSAH concert program we offer here for the 1943 season is in the form of a colorful 3-3/4 x 5-5/8 inch 8-page booklet. The front cover features the eagle and swastika adorned Führer Standard or Marching Flag of the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler.

Inside, the booklet gives credit to leadership of the organization and to the soldier choir that was a part of it. The three part program of musical selections is explained in typical concert program detail. That is followed by a double-page spread providing minutia about the last selection on the program - a chronological potpourri of 27 historical German marches of the past 600 years, ending of course, with the Badenweiler March, the parade march of the LSSAH.

Also for sale on USMBOOKS.com, the exremely rare September 1939
issue of Motor Schau with a photo feature on the motorized LSSAH.
Rare, complete and in very good condition.
